Warm Embrace

Imagine what seven billion human beings
Could accomplish if we cared for one another.
If there were no comparisons, hatred, or greed,
Everyone would run their own race without the need
For unhealthy attention. All that would occur
Would be absent of utterly negative things.

Such a world may not happen in our lifetime but
We can start with ourselves by choosing to uplift
And show kind understanding, love, and compassion.
You will succeed in life if you treat everyone
As you would like to be treated. Be a true gift
To the ones you encounter. Embrace from the gut.

No matter how educated, talented, cool,
Or rich you believe you are, how you treat people
Tells the story ultimately. Integrity
Is everything about who you happen to be.
You, your words, and your presence are truly helpful.
Treat others in accordance with the golden rule.

Be the reason someone believes in the goodness
Of humanity. Be the change you want to see
Happening in the world. Always do what is right –
Not what’s easy in the moment and take delight
In knowing that the infinite powers that be
Are supporting you in all the love you express.

The ultimate reality underlying
And within all forms, Oneness is undivided
Non-duality. The Supreme Being is an
Infinite field of consciousness. Anyone can
Commune with the divine if properly guided
Through the process. Does your view need modifying?

All of existence is a manifestation
Of the one infinite field. Conscious awareness
Is the very ground or substrate of empty space.
Many spiritual teachings fully embrace
This notion of oneness, and they often express
The importance of mercy, grace, and compassion.

This universe is an appearance within the
Mind of God. This awareness is the very light
And life force within all sentient beings. We are
Manifestations of this insanely bizarre
Physical dimension, and we’re given insight
As it’s asked for from ultimate divinity.

Love for others is love for self, and to forgive
Is to be forgiven. It’s the narcissistic
Ego that veils reality and keeps us trapped
And deluded until we are gracefully tapped
On the shoulder by spirit. Be realistic
In your choosing for yourself the best way to live.

Cosmic Connectivity

Integrity is the quality of having
Strong ethical or moral principles. It means
Following them at all times. It’s a positive
Character trait. It is a wholesome way to live.
It would be nice if it were a part of our genes.
It can be nothing but a most wonderful thing.

It is the bedrock upon which good character
Is built, where one understands, accepts, and chooses
To live in accordance with one’s own principles.
Life is made tolerable with loving spoonfuls
Of refreshing integrity. One excuses
Limitations of others as they may occur.

Choose the positive instead of the negative.
To treat others as you would like to be treated
And to take personal responsibility
For your own life experience naturally
Brings about and awareness that’s deeply seated
In the heart of compassion for how others live.

Every act of kindness, love, consideration,
Forgiveness, or compassion affects everyone.
There’s that which leads to truth, love, life, wholeness, and God,
And there’s that which leads to one hell of a façade.
Spiritual discernment is the solution
To the issue of ego wherein there is none.

Success cannot be taught. Only processes can.
And with crystal clear dreams and a bit of support,
Everyone will aspire to become something more.
There may come discontent in trying to keep score.
One can find yet the sweet spot and rarely fall short.
Insight comes from attention to one’s own game plan.

How intense the attention determines insight.
If it’s strong enough, insight will come like a flash.
A component of leadership, insight evolves.
Definiteness of purpose all through it resolves
Problems as if by clockwork. All fear becomes trash.
And the way one does business is never a fight.

Inspiration, keen insight and integrity
Are the tri-fold ingredients to great success.
To be one of integrity is to commit
To the much larger vision wherein we all fit.
Success is judged by others in how I express
My life as conscious process that happens to be.
