Seeing Clearly

I believe self-reliance is something that I
Meant to learn here but didn’t. The time that remains
I must use expeditiously. Had I been born
Under different circumstances would the scorn
That I feel for myself yield to me any gains?
This question is ridiculous and I know why.

My focus needs adjusting. The lessons I need
To learn are automatic. I need not depend
However on pure happenstance. I’m free to choose
The time schedule. There isn’t any time to lose.
Years remaining accentuate the subtrahend
From the total. I now have to pick up some speed.

Had I lived in an orphanage I would have been
Self-reliant in no time but that’s not the way
It turned out for me. I can learn from my mistakes.
I can also accept life’s many lucky breaks
But in doing so I’ll take care not to betray
My own purpose. I’m taught this again and again.

I can begin to see my life not just as a
Series of accidents, failures, and huge mistakes.
Everything that has ever happened plays a part
In the dharma of my life. I take this to heart
When I think of the past and all of its heartaches.
In a state of self-soothing I’m willing to stay.

Manifestation Secrets

What you think and therefore what you feel indicates
Your point of attraction and what manifests is
Always a vibrational match – no exception.
Ninety nine percent of your creation is done
Before you begin seeing it. This is no quiz
But a gentle reminder of alternate states.

So you have creations well on the way before
They begin to show up in your experience
Yet when something becomes manifest the habit
Of most folks is to think way too much about it.
The attention to ‘what is’ may become intense.
The excitement of winning one cannot ignore.

Always you have the ability to be where
You are now and to move to where you want to be.
Your emotional guidance system can lead you
Through the path of least resistance directly to
Your fulfillment and you can get there happily.
About how you feel you must give your utmost care.

You’re the creator of your own experience.
You create by deliberately projecting
Your thoughts with strong intention. Get focused upon
What you want out of life and accept the new dawn
Of creation. Do what your soul is expecting.
The wellbeing you’ve got coming is quite immense.

Can Everyone Segment Intend?

The process whereby you define your intentions
For the next segment of your day is called Segment
Intending. It’s a way of pre-paving what you
Want to happen. Each part of your day is a new
Point of focus. The process is meant to prevent
Unintended things happening. It helps you tons.

It forces you to make the most of this moment
And to line up your thoughts to what you most desire.
More peaceful moments it allows you to create
Through the day. It keeps you in a positive state
Of alignment. The day that you want will transpire.
You’ve control of it all through your conscious intent.

It helps you to focus your attention on the
Here and now and to recognize that your power
Is in this present moment. Deliberately
Intending gives you confidence and clarity.
The benevolent universe wants to shower
The next segment with all that will make you happy.

The more you take the time to pre-pave the more you
Are aligning your energies with the future.
The path of least resistance it helps you to find.
It is beneficial to all of humankind.
Segment Intending is the best way to ensure
Satisfaction in everything you have to do.

Happiness Chooses You

Evidence of alignment or trying to hard?
Which one is it? You could make it ‘til you fake it,
But that never works because you’re just pretending
To be happy. The message you end up sending
To the universe is of little benefit.
Your concealing the truth keeps you always on guard.

Happiness comes from within. It cannot come from
Anywhere else. Your inner being loves every
Bit of whatever you are. It’s others who may
Find you wanting, but don’t listen to what they say.
To your true self you’re wonderful. When you agree
All the blessings of happiness to you will come.

Be as happy as you can be and let that be
Quite enough. You need not manifest anything
Other than the good feeling. Then you will attract
Abundance and wellbeing. When you’ve made contact
With you true self the universe to you will bring
Many blessings. It’s easy to live happily.

You can choose to be happy, but often you may
Find it difficult. It means that you’re not happy.
Wait until you feel then give it a try.
You don’t find happiness. It finds you, which is why
It’s better to attract happiness consciously.
Do appreciate all the good that comes your way.

Being In Nature

“Seek out a quiet place in the forest,” said he
Who was called the Buddha thousands of years ago.
He practiced meditation, and that’s what he taught.
He was available to anyone who sought
Spiritual enlightenment. He was also
Big on nature. He loved it most passionately.

In nature, there is ‘stillness’ that’s different from
That which is artificial and caused by the lack
Of the clamor incessant. This kind one can hear.
When you listen to nature with an acute ear,
The stillness is apparent. You peek through a crack
In eternity. Magnificent insights come.

Nature teaches connection. It has much to do
With the way we develop spiritually.
Nature relaxes as well as energizes.
When alone or with others it crystalizes
Consciousness into oneness. It’s easy to be
Just oneself without pretense. God bless the guru!

Refrain as much as possible from thinking while
You’re in nature. Just be the awareness behind
Your acute sense perceptions. Be fully at one
With all that you experience. You have begun
To connect to the heart and detach from the mind.
Nothing in the woods can put a cramp in your style.

Wisdom Of Youth

We adults think we know everything to be known
And that only from us should our children be taught.
We take not this approach with our vegetables.
They don’t need any training. Nature enables
Youthful living creatures to receive what is sought.
We can learn things from children if not ego prone.

Wisdom doesn’t come from us and then trickle down
To the newest arrivals. It’s drawn from below.
As it makes its way upward through society,
What is no longer working can be completely
Overhauled or discarded. The seed we do sow
Knows of its royal essence while reaching the crown.

Our young collect pebbles, colored shiny objects,
And all sorts of things trivial to you and me.
But they are the most precious things to a young one.
They know not how to play our game. It isn’t fun
Because it’s one of power which they don’t yet see
As worthwhile and of value in certain aspects.

And we must educate them and teach them values
So that they learn the real game to play it to win.
But the game, when it’s mastered, brings on but the truth
That they had while of innocence back in their youth.
Feeling no satisfaction they suffer chagrin
Having fallen for learning the best ways to lose.

Older folk have their purpose. It’s to become wise
In the ways of experience. We learn to teach.
There’s no way to the kingdom of heaven unless
We become like children. If we can acquiesce
To the wisdom of freshness in time, we may reach
A sublime evolution as brilliant youth rise.

Children And Teachers

‘It’s a living.’ Some conclude that this is the case
As they try to make ends meet and pay off their loans.
It is stressful to work eighty hours per week
When their students’ wellbeing is all that they seek.
The most effective teacher is someone who owns
That our young are most valuable to the whole race.

It should not be ‘a living,’ yet we make it so
Through glitches in the systems that lock teachers out.
Education/Production… They both are the same
To the bodies that rule in the financial game.
Children should be what child-rearing is all about.
Teachers’ pay should reflect that for all that they know.

Does this make too much sense? Is this why it’s not done?
Something must be amiss in our handling of things.
If we had volunteer teachers, would that bode well?
They should have wealth already so in calm they dwell.
If we can’t treat our children as if we were kings
We should not welcome them until growth has begun.
