Feel Better Instantly

Capture The Moment

In my gut there’s some stuckness. My lungs, chest, and heart
Feel a little too heavy. Is there something wrong
With my processing of life? Is this atonement
For bad acts of the past? Does my body repent
Through its not feeling right? Does my asking prolong
The process of recovery? I’m not that smart.

I ask too many questions, so thank God for those
Who have knowledge sufficient. I’m not feeling pain
And I need not describe it with an emotion
Even though at its core there probably is one.
Psychoanalysis would mean that I’m insane.
Must I rely on everything everyone knows?

Relax into your pain. If you are lying down
Pretend that there is a big sponge underneath you.
Your pain will be drawn out, and the thoughts that you think
Should be simply uplifting and not on the brink
Of your sinking right back into your feeling blue.
Pain ignores the fact that you are wearing a frown.

Sensations of discomfort and deep unsettling
You are reaching relief from, and negative thought
Keeps you in the emotion of blame, doubt and fear.
Your relief from resistance comes when thoughts are clear.
Nothing else but your feeling better can be sought.
You are the perfect master of your wellbeing.

The Healers

Caretakers Of Humanity

Recognizing The Healers among us for me
Is an easy thing simply because I am one.
Most descriptions of INFP’s, as we’re called,
Say that all that can keep us forever enthralled
Are the things of the spirit. Indeed we have fun
While exploring the human soul… usually.

Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, (one more)
And Perceiving – these four words are the acronym
For we INFP types. Does this make me proud?
Quite in spite of my ego, to life I’m avowed.
Darkness like the horrendous scourge of racism
Is but fuel for enlightenment. It’s not a bore.

We love speaking in parables and metaphors.
Inventing fresh new symbols to share our ideals,
We are at our creative best. Keen rhetoric
Fascinates us to no end, and our minds are quick.
The slow speed of mere lightning is not that which heals.
Infinite is the frequency spirit endures.

We become overwhelmed often, and we do err
Because we are as human as all humankind.
Altruistic are we, and we’re misunderstood.
One’s perfected morality is for the good
Of the soul of the planet. The task we’re assigned
Is to process experiences and to share.

A Day For A Daydream

Nature's Pleasant Surprises

Loving spoonfuls of wonder, a blanket of snow
Unexpectedly ushering fun and delight,
And a childlike excitement are right for this day.
I may just bundle up and then go out and play.
Let the new year be subtle yet sunny and bright.
What the past has to offer I don’t need to know.

It’s A Day For A Daydream to last through the year –
One that I create each moment I choose to be
Receptive to the nature of all that takes place
In a world made magnificent. Our human race
Is both symptom and cure for its insanity.
All the newness I’m feeling is not tied to fear.

I have work that I must do… much of it mundane
With some fruitful forgetting and more yet to learn.
Each moment is the starting point of the release
Of life spent and the welcoming in of new peace.
How I live for this day is my only concern.
What has not come awake is my urge to complain.

Hopefulness is the pleasure of provident grace.
Reassures me it does that at least I exist
Right along with the space and the things around me.
I reach out in true blindness but contentedly.
In the long run there’s nothing of life that I’ve missed
So this day made forever is all I embrace.
