Knee Jerk Reactions

Worried

Wouldn’t it be terrific if news reflected
Accurately what’s going on? Wouldn’t it be
Really nice if all the pleasant things taking place
In the world the news networks would put in the face
Of the public? Am I living in fantasy?
If so, then I should probably be elected.

I would like to believe that what I feel is true.
If there were much more good news compared to the bad
Then the bad news would be just a blip on the screen.
Only happy stories of living would bee seen.
Can I shoot such a rocket from my own launchpad?
Are there others who feel just the way that I do?

If every chance I get I practice wellbeing
Then if there’s something going on that triggers me
It’s not such a big factor in my overall
Sense of being. In fact, it’s such a very small
Percentage of the big picture. I finally
See the way that my inner being is seeing.

In this world no such thing as perfection exists.
There will always be contrast. Life will always be
On the verge of becoming what it will become.
The emotional triggers we can’t escape from,
But we can learn to live life with more clarity.
Then we’ll deal more appropriately with its twists.

Can it be looked at from a broader perspective
All the differences between animals and
Human beings? Did we create them? Or did they
Create themselves? Is it really helpful to play
With such questions? Is it that hard to understand
The big picture? Are we all one huge collective?

We’re the creators of our own reality.
We add to what is happening on planet earth.
Our attention right here and now is causing the
Evolution not only of humanity
But of all of existence. All life is of worth
To the universe and that’s the way it must be.

Consciousness has been always the evolution
Of all things. There’s a blending of the physical
With the nonphysical. Intricately combined
Are the energies, so it would be hard to find
A perceived of ‘creator.’ The spiritual
Offers to many humans the best solution.

Animals are more open to being who they
Truly are in each moment, whereas humans lie
In a heartbeat. Why is that? The answer may be
Unimportant. We are all the same energy
But with different packages. The reason why
Is because there are certain laws all must obey.

The Unity Of All Consciousness

Consciousness is eternal. With no beginning,
It continues forever. What else can it do
But create an immensity to comprehend
Yet cannot until all know enough to transcend
Origins of pure purpose. We are the ones who,
With these physical bodies, deserve honoring.

One may muse, “Is there only one spirit assigned
To a physical body, or are there a few
Who take turns and account for our various moods?”
Consciousness is an essence that rightly includes
Particles of existence creating what’s new.
Overwhelming this all is for the human mind.

Much confusion arises from our point of view
In that we think our beings are dead or alive.
But we are always spirit. Sometimes we take form
And are then part of both worlds. This is quite the norm.
From the standpoint of consciousness one can derive
And inclusive philosophy helpful and new.

We see ourselves as separate clumps of being.
We must pigeonhole and catalog what we see
And express using words or some kind of action.
It is through our senses we get anything done.
We are one single consciousness trying To Be.
If one looks at things this way it’s awfully freeing.
