Your Inner Voice

Intuition

Are you willing to listen to that Inner Voice
That no one else can hear that says, “You can’t tell me
What I’m here for.”?
It takes a certain fearlessness

To face up to its message. You are nonetheless
Capable of compliance. It wants you to be
In a place where your life is a thing you rejoice.

Do what you want because of the passion you feel –
Not because of the money, prestige, and fanfare.
Do not write a book or get another degree
Unless you feel deeply that’s who you’re meant to be.
There will come a time when not a person will care
Much about you. The probability is real.

Your Inner Voice whispers. It will not speak loudly.
You must get quiet to hear what it has to say.
Don’t confuse it with the noise of your intellect
Which is loud in comparison. Do redirect
Your attention to silence. You will in this way
Get insight from your state of receptivity.

You know which voice to listen to. It’s the sane one –
The one that will guide you to where you want to be.
The voice of the ego train yourself to ignore.
Your Inner Voice can offer you a lot more
In the way of living your life more happily.
Do behold your magnificent journey begun.

Find Your Purpose

Intense Focus

It’s not something you look for by magnifying
What’s in front of you or anywhere else for that
Matter. Your purpose can only be found within
You. It can be found easily when you begin
To use your inner guidance. You’ll get better at
Finding what to do that is most satisfying.

You know that what you resist only shows up more
In your life so the difference between knowing
When to let go and do nothing and to push on
Is the guidance within you. When all hope is gone
You can rely on what your guidance is showing
To you clearly as ever it has done before.

The intuitive voice within you tells you when
You’re not honest with yourself so it’s your conscience
Telling you that you shouldn’t have done this or that.
You cannot turn it off so what you’re looking at
Is what keeps your wheel turning yet at the expense
Of your ego but you can make it whole again.

It’s the voice that you don’t want to hear but you must
Listen to it and do what it tells you to do.
Give it your best shot and let go of the outcome.
Anything that you want to do has to come from
Deep within you. When you access that part of you
You’ll find your purpose. In the process you must trust.

Which Voice To Listen To

Wise Choice

There are two voices in the mind. One is of your
Inner being. The other is of your ego.
You can tell which is speaking by the way you feel.
When what you’re feeling is of tremendous appeal
To your spirit, continual blessings will flow.
Doing something should not be something you endure.

Get in touch with what feels good. When you are in sync
With who you really are, you know without a doubt
That when you receive impulses, they’re coming from
Your inner being. Happiness is the outcome
Of your conscious awareness which is all about
Focusing – but not on what other people think.

If what you hear from your subconscious sounds bossy,
You know where it’s all coming from. It will tell you
To do something you don’t feel excited about
So that it can claim full credit for any clout
That you toiled for relentlessly. What you must do
Is to just be aware of its dependency.

Motivation can be born of desperation.
You had better get it done or else there will be
Consequences. When you just feel like doing it
Because it feels good, it is to your benefit
To listen to that voice ever more consciously.
This is the definition of inspiration.

Our Time Is Limited

The Swirl Of Eternity

Mother nature gives birth to death, and life renews.
That’s the way it has been since it all came to be
Beheld within the consciousness of humankind
…Surely eons before that if one keeps in mind
That forever is something that humans can’t see.
Death is life’s invention. No one does it excuse.

If I live each day if it were to be my last,
Someday certainly I’ll be correct. But would I
Want to do things I’d planned on when I didn’t know
I’d have one day to do them? Perhaps I’d forego
Most for the most important so that when I die
I won’t leave a big mess by my living half-assed.

I’ll do well to remember my mortality.
Knowing that I’ll be dead someday is a great tool
To help me make big choices in life that remains
By the will of whatever existence maintains
To support constant change. Though up close it looks cruel,
From the spirit’s perspective, there’s much more to see.

I am already naked. I’ve nothing to lose
So there’s no good reason to not follow my heart.
Death is life’s special agent. It moves me along
So that I am prepared for a richer swan song.
I must not live for others nor be torn apart
By entrapment in dogma and death-wishing views.
