The Holy Spirit is the only one who knows
And remembers who you really are. The bridge back
To this knowing is something worthwhile to partake.
Nothing is more important. You must come awake
To your true self. It doesn’t involve keeping track
Of your assets of which nothing of you it shows.
The Holy Spirit by many different names
And throughout many traditions is known worldwide
But there is only one unifying Spirit.
It’s a blessing that we all have access to it.
Within it your true nature is identified.
To be one with it is one of your earthly aims.
Poverty, chastity, and obedience are
Beautiful calls back to forgive and remember
Who we really are. A child of God can’t possess
Anything that can’t be given. We’re here to bless
One another. The heart is a glowing ember.
The Spirit who uplifts you is never too far.
Can you still have desires and can you manifest
All the nice things that pleasure you and still be one
With the Spirit? In the ego’s mind this is true.
It’s a challenge to satisfy that part of you
But you do have the choice to say, “Thy Will Be Done.”
May the sharing of God’s love be your only quest.
