Whatever It Takes

Alone At The Shore

What lies far in the distance is where I have been.
The old habits that I have I need to release
And today is the first day of eternity.
I need to choose the path that is the best for me
And I find it a challenge to find inner peace.
Am I doomed to go through it all over again?

Far beyond where I am now is where I belong.
Something in the horizon is drawing nearer.
To prepare for its coming I surrender to
All that is most uplifting, exciting, and new.
What I need to do now becomes ever clearer.
It’s to punish myself for all that I’ve done wrong.

Carefully I can do this with inner guidance
And not fall into danger of self-undoing.
What of myself can I offer in sacrifice
For my not having been someone normal and nice?
There’s this fear that I have that I keep renewing
The old karma as if my soul’s in abidance.

Hard it is to look forward but that I must do.
The past can’t interfere with what’s happening now.
The insanity which is my humanity
Is a tool that I can use to help me to be
Only better if the time I have will allow.
There are many things that I can look forward to.

What Is Winning?

Material Success

Like sperm cells that compete for fertilization
Of the egg, we as humans are mostly concerned
About winning. Our lives are all about the goal.
We believe that our winning will make our lives whole.
It’s not true. Yet how can this falsehood be unlearned?
We seem to have a competitive fixation.

Why do some companies run so efficiently
While others are a nightmare? The ones that do well
Are devoted to the process instead of to
Any goal. They take pleasure in all that they do.
They compete not among themselves and what the sell
Is their passion in all that they’re wanting to be.

If you are doing something that you love to do
Then just do it! You must enjoy hitting the ball
More than anything. Then you will be in a state
Of accepting what you are about to create.
But you cannot create victories large or small.
Always wanting to win will not benefit you.

If you’ve one eye on the goal you’ve only got one
To find your way, which is very inefficient.
You need both eyes to take the next step to seeing
That you are a magnificent human being.
Keep loving what you’re doing and get proficient.
Hit the ball and take advantage of the home run.

Whatever It Takes

Focused On Success

Greatness has its cost. It can take you to the brink
Of a breakdown. It puts your friends and family
On the back burner. It will reschedule your plans,
And at times your promoting won’t win any fans.
It makes you feel misunderstood to the degree
That you learn not to care about what others think.

Greatness demands everything from your mind, body,
Spirit, and your soul. Many will talk about how
They hate losing, but they do nothing about it.
Greatness means that you’re ever willing to commit
To doing Whatever It Takes and to allow
The free flowing of your positive energy.

Winners will show up early, stay late every day,
And talk to anybody that will help them to
Get ahead with their project. They have confidence
In themselves and what they’re doing, so it makes sense
That success is the outcome. The more that they do
To support their agenda has to be okay.

Some would say life’s a dog fight. With that point of view
One may win certain battles through much grief and pain.
Focus on what your doing. Do not be concerned
With a fighting world wherein nothing can be learned.
In the long run the fruits of your effort you’ll gain.
The only fight to win is the one within you.

This Race Called Life

All Life As One

Once upon a time there was a young fellow who
Was athletic. He had a hunger for success.
Seemingly it was all about winning for him.
He decided to run in a race on a whim.
Competition would bring him extreme happiness.
Accepting the challenge was the right thing to do.

People gathered to see the race. One wise old man
Who attended was quiet while all others cheered
As the boy came in first place, but the boy was proud.
All the cheers and excitement were blissfully loud,
But the old man was silent which was rather weird.
He did not appear to be an avid sports fan.

Another race was called sometime after the first.
Two young fit challengers the boy did overcome,
And the crowd was ecstatic. The old man was not.
To the young boy this silence did matter a lot.
“Where on earth is this quiet old man coming from?
Would it matter to him if I did but my worst?”

The wise man offered him two opponents who were
Elderly and disabled. “Now run with these two.”
But the boy was perplexed. The old man insisted.
The boy won, but the excitement that existed
With the crowd was no longer, except for a few.
This is not the reaction the boy would prefer.

In This Race Called Life, who is running next to you?
Are they weaker? Do you help them to cross the line?
When we all win together, that is the best race.
What the crowd cheers is giving a loving embrace
To your fellow contestants in life. You will shine
As a person. Do consider this point of view.

Life Changing Wisdom

A Fountain Of Enlightenment

The journey of a thousand miles always begins
With the first single step. Your silence is a source
Of great strength. The best fighter is never angry.
When your are content and most delighted to be
Just yourself and don’t compare or compete, of course,
Everyone will respect you, and everyone wins.

When I let go of what I am then I become
What I might be. If I waste time caring about
What other people think then I will always be
Nothing more than their prisoner absolutely.
Knowledge is the treasure, and patience is, no doubt,
The way to it. This message is not just for some.

Music in the soul is heard by the universe.
Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.
Time is a creative thing. To say that you don’t
Have the time is admitting that you simply won’t.
Success may be dangerous. Hope is as hollow
As is fear, and it cannot be seen as a curse.

New beginnings are disguised as painful endings.
Health is the greatest possession, and contentment
Is the greatest of treasures. Your greatest of friends
Is your confidence. Recognizing this transcends
Circumstances of conflict that are infrequent.
You are affected also by your offerings.

Your Top Priority

Stay Happy!

If you saw someone in the street bleeding you would
Try to help them in some way with no second thought
But if someone were acting out negatively
You would scold them back into some conformity
Of accepted behavior. If it need be taught
Be it done so that good acting is understood.

We do this to others and to ourselves as well.
Scolding oneself into a better vibration
Is something we do too often, and we need not
Because it builds resistance. The lesson thus taught
Is not one that contains a healthy solution.
By how it feels in your gut it’s easy to tell.

Know that you can soothe yourself into alignment
By pointing out to yourself how well you’re doing
And how well things are going. Appreciation
For the positive pieces and having more fun
Gets you there and without constantly worrying.
You can in a short time reach that state of content.

The universe will give you back what you vibrate
Whether it’s good or bad. The Law does not discern.
An uplifted heart, a new idea, a smile,
A comment, or a phone call… All these are worthwhile
Things to notice in your life. Be willing to learn
What it is that will hold you in that wholesome state.
