Holding The Heart

Endlessly the heart beats. Every once in a while
It may skip one because of some wonderful thing
Having happened that makes one feel a certain way.
That it beats at all means it has something to say
To the world that gave birth to it. It’s offering
What it knows best which is how to make others smile.

It pumps blood through the body much in the same way
That the earth moves molten metal throughout its core.
This movement creates the electromagnetic
Field around the earth. Blood and metal are both thick
And the iron within the blood does account for
The field that the heart generates day after day.

The heart’s electromagnetic field becomes more
And more refined and it extends farther out from
The body where it intermingles with others’
So emotional communication occurs
At that level. The heartbeat is the sacred drum
Of the body. It’s wonders are ours to explore.

Interconnected bubbles of heart energy
We become as a species and a consciousness
More aware of its function. The heart is the way
To the soul and it is from that place that we pray
That our sacred survival is not of distress.
Our hearts communicate rather literally.

Spiritual Liberation

Liberation

Liberation is the act of being freed from
Slavery or oppression or imprisonment.
It occurs when someone is released, rescued, or
One escapes from confinement. It’s an open door
To the freedom to live life to full enjoyment.
It’s amazing what a freed person can become.

Spiritual liberation clearly implies
That within this world one’s consciousness is confused,
Trapped, lost, stuck, and in bondage. The highest purpose
In life is to free ourselves of illusion, thus
One who seeks liberation is likely enthused
About doing whatever will make one more wise.

The concept of liberation sought, known, and taught
By spiritual masters throughout history
Has to do with salvation, redemption, and more
Terms like it. One’s enlightenment is at the core
Of intention. One wants to be totally free
Of the traps in which one always seems to get caught.

Freedom from the bonds of illusion, ignorance,
Separation, and duality is the goal
Of spiritual practice. Unconditional
Love, service, and compassion are the general
Fruits of freedom. The shattered self can be made whole
No matter what happens to be the circumstance.

Everything Happens For A Reason

Small Disaster

Every little or big thing that happens to you
Happens for some good reason. Every condition
Of your life is exactly the way it should be.
There are no accidents. You are absolutely
In the right place. You’re not in a bad position,
Even though it feels like there’s nothing you can do.

In each moment there are two things you can choose from.
You may take advantage of it or you may not.
It is a perfect universe. Nothing is wrong.
Accept the fact that you are right where you belong
Even though it may seem like you’re in a tough spot.
It may be hard to see a fortunate outcome.

Think of yourself as connected to everything
Rather than someone who is being victimized.
It’s all part of the perfection of existence.
You can make yours a wonderful experience
When in each moment some lesson is recognized.
You’ll be surprised by what your acceptance can bring.

Look for what’s in it for you and things will work out
For the better. You can get out in front of it
And learn from it. The way to your enlightenment
Is to know your connection in any event.
Circumstances get better if you will permit
Them to do so, which means getting rid of your doubt.

Matter Becoming

“As you think, so shall you be.” There are many ways
To acquire things that you want, but basically,
It begins with how you choose to think about things.
Ultimately, only positive thinking brings
What you want to be part of your reality.
How do you get more happiness into your days?

You become what you think about throughout the day.
Thoughts expand. Then they become a magnetic force
That attracts situations that match their nature.
It’s important to make sure you’re thinking is pure.
Thinking unconsciously causes certain remorse
Because there is nothing turning out quite your way.

You can’t give away what you don’t have. So you know
That you can’t give away love if there’s none to give.
If what you have inside you is contempt and fear,
It’s difficult to consider anyone dear.
It is up to you to decide how you will live.
You must have love within you or it cannot show.

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you
Look at change.” It’s because of your powerful mind
That you are where you are now. It’s the beginning
Of developing an attitude of winning.
You can leave all the negative feelings behind
So that you can discover a life that is new.
