Love Is Worth Lining Up With

Allegiance To Violence

Congressmen who think smoke breaks are more important
Than the health of the nation are now in control
Of the mindset of others who want to secede.
A divorce they now call it. Mass death is their creed.
How do people act as if they have not a soul?
Civil war would be something to win, yet they can’t.

So, do we have a problem? Houston doesn’t care.
Arrogance now means honor. It’s useless to try
To butt heads with such beings. Just leave it alone.
Would it be worthy if some compassion were shown?
Hatred is an infection. That’s the reason why
People fear to get near it. They know what is there.

Love is the only answer. It sounds so cliché,
But it’s so. Your reality is created
Only with your thoughts and feelings. When you’re aligned
With your true self, no kind of hatred will you find.
In your gut is where your guidance is located.
Love remains all inclusive. That’s how it shall stay.

Politicians are people. They can’t solve for you
Any problems you may have. Let them help create
Your version of a better world. Pay attention
Only to it. One could call it war prevention.
Always it’s best to stay in a positive state.
You can’t hate when you’re happy. You know this is true.

The Scourge

Speak Your Truth

Fear Of Male Obsolescence, the main cause of death
Among women is something that can’t be denied.
Throughout history the scourge of male dominance
Has cursed women worldwide. Does it make human sense
To cling onto a toxic and false sense of pride?
I shall speak about this until my dying breath.

The atrocities happen. They’re always shrouded
In uncertainty. Truth is not meant to be known.
Our technology and media now reveal
Quite enough of what happens. Amid the surreal
Is the feeling of trauma. Women aren’t alone
In their voice of defiance with minds unclouded.

Every state has a caliphate – not just Iran
And a few other nations. Use of religion
To control women’s lives has occurred everywhere.
Our supreme court and congress are a lethal pair
With misogyny blatant – not just a smidgen.
What the hell is so ‘right’ about being a man?

Women are organizing. It comes on the heels
Of the most recent tragic event in the news.
Women will make their voices heard at voting booths.
People are responding to the uncovered truths
Of behaviors that no decent one can excuse.
We are fortunate in what the darkness reveals.

Judgement And Self-Hatred

Negative Fixation

We can always recognize what we don’t prefer
But the concept of recognizing doesn’t mean
That we need to invalidate or take up arms
Against what is not wanted. This behavior harms
One’s sublime peace of spirit and mental hygiene.
We can choose in our lives what we want to occur.

From a neutral, observational position,
We can recognize what is not wanted without
Placing negative judgement. Each choice is valid
In its own right, though it’s hard to see this amid
Atmospheric conditions of terror and doubt.
Judging is not the way to get anything done.

Everything is neutral, but we charge everything
With emotional judgement. Thus we magnetize
Ourselves to situations that may be adverse
To the way that we want things. Indeed it’s a curse
To hold on to resentments, and it is unwise
To not be neutral. Clarity is appealing.

What reason can I have, then, to judge anyone?
From a place of neutrality I have power
Over how things affect me. My freedom of choice
Means that I can always find reason to rejoice.
What I find in myself that is wicked and sour
I will seek out in others as some solution.

If it’s right in our face or some lightyears away
It cannot really matter. We’re not affected
By something someone offers that is negative.
The higher vibration is to learn to forgive
Ignorance for the soul that is truly misled.
But how many can do that in this world today?

Line Up With The Love

Open Up To Oneness

Much like water and oil politics and love mix.
Separate, these two creatures exist on their own,
Independent of each other’s usual ways
Of providing and guiding. The worst of our days
Of cold blooded civility we won’t postpone.
Human nature is something no human can fix.

A fine dressing for war salad makes of the news
Of the depth of the hatred the loud blatant chant
Of a troubled nostalgia. What I am to do
Is maintain my connection with the Being who
Sees all things in perspective, which we humans can’t.
Are we at best a dull race of differing views?

Politicians are human. Don’t ask them to scrape
Enough dirt for a new earth and send it to space.
Let them help you create your version of a world
Where all knobs of acceptance are rugged and knurled.
Then give all your attention to reaching that place
In your soul where all things are always in great shape.

Because that place exists for each and everyone.
Those who cannot believe this create the contrast
That we all need to grow by. I’ll participate
In my own peace of spirit and stay in that state.
All the love that exists is infinitely vast.
It’s easy to line up with, refreshing, and fun.

Restore And Rejuvenate

Facing Familiarity

As without, so within; as above, so below.
If there’s turmoil identified is it in me?
Do the streets in my vision see fire and brimstone?
Is there hatred outside me, or is it my own?
Thank God I have no TV yet trouble I see
Way more than what is needed but less than I know.

Things that are most familiar and closest at hand,
Like the people I know and love, give me some peace.
I’ll depend on relationships and make them strong.
To ourselves and to everyone we all belong.
No whitewash on a brick wall can offer release
Of the deep rooted tension I can’t understand.

My instincts are creative for bad or for good.
I alone get to choose which one that it will be.
There’s no heat in the moment nor is there a chill.
How one interacts socially is by free will.
Were we made and put down here to all disagree?
It makes no sense to heart nor mind. Who says it should?

We treat animals badly. Perhaps it starts there.
Being harmful to people then isn’t too far
From the general premise that some are not worth
A good place in society or on the earth.
Who would dare to conclude we know not who we are?
What besides our aggression can we hope to share?

We’ll achieve restoration. Some time it will take
For the soul’s evolution and replenishment
Of the spirit communal. We can’t get along
As long as we make certain groups out to be wrong
Due to race, creed, or class. We compel our descent
As one treacherous species. When will we awake?
