Do Only What You Want

Bold And Carefree

How do you feel when someone tells you that you must
Do something? You probably don’t like it that much.
A feeling of rebellion may overcome you
Because you want to Do Only What You Want to.
Even when one commands with a delicate touch
Doing what they say becomes a matter of trust.

You live in a world that has tried to motivate
You into doing things that you’d rather not do.
You get over it and you treat yourself this way.
Demanding of yourself leads only to dismay.
You cannot find something that will motivate you
Into doing something you absolutely hate.

When you plan a vacation you’re cleaver and clear.
You remember exactly what to take along.
You’re excited about how much fun it will be.
You create a magnificent reality.
Does your work call you in this way? Would it be wrong
To admit that what you do is much out of fear?

Let everything you do be inspired from within.
When you have no resistance then what you should do
Calls you forward and action comes naturally.
In this way you can certainly get yourself free
Of a whole lot of stuff that’s been preventing you
From enjoying life. It’s about time to begin.

Your Daily To Do List

Focus Moment

Since this morning you’ve had a chance to meditate,
Change your thinking, and get up to speed with who you
Really are. You know that quieting your mind will
Stop your resistant thinking. When your mind is still
You can come out of it knowing just what to do
With your day – one in which only you can create.

When you quiet your mind you stop resistant thought.
This will cause your vibration to rise. When you run
Or take walks or interact with those who you love
Your vibration increases. It’s way far above
What is normal for most folks. You can be the one
Whose true sense of wellbeing can never be bought.

Anything that will move you in the direction
Of who you truly are will put you in a place
Of receiving direction on how to proceed
With your day. Any method that you use will lead
To a day characterized by provident grace.
Your appreciation strengthens your connection.

So, get on rampages of appreciation.
Make lists of positive aspects. Quiet your mind
Several times throughout your day as you set goals,
Offer effort, and make plans. Be one of those souls
Who has found the best way to keep yourself aligned
With your higher self. It’s cause for celebration.

On Being Alone

Distant Horizon

There are two minds. One mind is always on the run
With its incessant chatter while the other mind
Remains silent. It doesn’t respond to outside
Interference, yet access is never denied
To its clarity. But we’re not often inclined
To partake of its peace as we’re getting things done.

Aloneness doesn’t mean being isolated
Having no friends and vanishing into a cave.
You can do that but you’ll take your two minds with you
And then meditate on things that you were told to
Meditate on. It’s just the way people behave
Aloneness and confinement are not related.

If you just take a moment – five seconds or so
To be quiet, everything that will disappear
In that time is what’s not real. When you’re not thinking
Everything that is lost is what you’d been linking
To your ego which operates much out of fear.
Your moments of aloneness can help you to grow.

When you consider yourself it’s all about thought.
Ninety nine percent of our life experience
Is in this world of virtual reality.
It’s an illusion of garden variety.
Is aloneness now making a whole lot more sense?
What you’ll find will astound you so give it a shot.

Epiphany

Triple Treasure

What has happened to me that I now realize
All the sins I’ve committed? Perhaps it’s old age
Telling me that my time draws closer by the day.
Do I have enough time left to properly pay
My way out of existence? Of late I engage
In self-evaluation before my demise.

Words don’t teach. Life experience is the only
Way to know life. I’ve learned that I know not a thing
About living except that my own life has been
Cataclysmic. There are those who would shout, “Amen!”
To my honest admission. On slim hope I cling
That a way out of this dilemma there must be.

And there is a way. All that I’ve done in the past
Is the past. I can’t change it. So I have to choose
To look forward where there’s at least a chance that I
May turn into an innocent kindhearted guy.
That’s a bit of a stretch, but I’ve nothing to lose
In believing that I was never an outcast.

Then what was I? A bastard? A son of a bitch?
Or maybe just a troubled soul with some issues?
What matters now is that now is most important.
Dragging the past into it is something I can’t
Let myself keep on doing. Myself I abuse
When I do that. Besides, it will not make me rich.

Can I Trust My Feelings?

Totally Satisfied

That I have an emotional guidance system
Is apparent, but how do I know that I can
Trust my feelings? Indeed they may be under the
Influence of hypnosis, voodoo, sorcery,
Or illness. It could be something much bigger than
My awareness. It could be something I’d condemn.

Trial and error leads to a keener awareness
But it takes longer and there’s unnecessary
Resistance to contend with. When I meditate
I feel much better able to cooperate
With spiritual forces that influence me.
To the world it’s my best self I want to express.

Streams of pleasant thoughts and guidance come on the heels
Of having quieted the mind. When I follow
That guidance there is always a payoff for me.
As I rid myself of resistance completely
Many blessings of the universe start to flow
Into my life. I can get used to how that feels.

If I’m not under the influence of my Source
Then what I do feels difficult. Passion I feel
When I’m lined up with my Source. I notice when I
Am aligned or not. I need not ask myself why
What I’m doing feels healthy or like an ordeal.
I am guided by a most benevolent force.

Don’t Do What You Don’t Want

Satisfaction is what your inner being feels
All the time about who you are and about where
You are going. Satisfaction comes from one place.
Moving in the direction of what you embrace,
Just as your inner being does, will get you there.
Be open to the wisdom your true heart reveals.

You live in a world that has tried to motivate
You into doing things that you don’t want to do.
When you think about going to work do you feel
Satisfaction such that you’re overcome with zeal?
It would be a nice thing only if it were true.
When you think of vacation, you can hardly wait.

People try to control you by their demanding,
Whining, and complaining. Never do anything
You don’t want to do. It sets a bad example
For the rest of us. Do not let others trample
Any bit of your freedom. Your inner being
Is your source, your guidance, and your understanding.

You can’t motivate yourself, and you can’t demand
Of yourself to do anything. You will receive
Inspiration that will call you forward when you
Are resistance free. You can do what you want to
And not worry that there’s something you won’t achieve.
Let your inner being be the one in command.

Remove Force From Your Life

Hot Race

To resist all evil means to give up the fight.
Your problems are not solvable by using force.
When you become a fighter against anything
Onto the forces that created it you cling.
It takes conscious awareness to get to the source
Of your struggle. You know that things are not all right.

In this material world, things move at a pace
That causes much anxiety, illness, and pain.
It’s slow-moving energy ironically.
It’s the kind that always asks, “What’s in it for me?”
Scurrying to meet deadlines can drive you insane.

Life does not have to be a chaotic rat race.

Hold no one or no thing in judgment. You cannot
Bring spiritual harmony to an issue
As long as you accept the idea that one
Side is right. You will never reach a solution.
Judging others means only that something in you
Needs expressing, and it doesn’t mean a whole lot.

When you slow yourself down, you will actually
Always speed up your spiritual vibration.
Peaceful, tranquil thoughts clear the chatter in the mind.
While you’re stopped at a traffic light, be more inclined
To connect with your inner peace. Meditation
Is the wonderful practice of letting things be.

Go Straight For The Feeling

Moment Of Appreciation

This whole manifestation thing gets me thinking
That if I’m on the verge of a dream coming true,
Then my strength of emotion allows it to be.
I am never ‘on the verge’ of being happy.
I am there, or I’m not. What I have coming due
Is by manifold components interlinking.

Everything that I want is about the feeling
I will have upon getting it. Why not go straight
To the wonderful feeling? I can easily
Notwithstanding the fact that results I don’t see
At the moment. I can be happy as I wait
For a manifestation that’s most appealing.

I believe that the universe caters to me
In the best way. My positive expectation
I practice, so it trains me to be more aware
Of the good in each circumstance. Mostly I care
About how I feel for myself and everyone.
I anticipate living life passionately.

My world is such that anything I want will come.
The only thing that I do is be receptive
And open to my consciously moving along
The emotional spectrum. How can I go wrong?
I have found for myself the perfect way to live.
I’m the one who needs to know where I’m coming from.

Meditative Intentions

Purposful Focus

I intend to feel peaceful. I want to relax
And let breathing release me from my resistance
To the nature of who I am. I want to be
In complete alignment with the best part of me.
In this moment I’m thankful I’m given the chance
To take care of this body that I overtax.

I need fifteen to twenty minutes – no longer.
I have trained my mind to be active. I can’t ask
It to be perfectly silent for very long
Although it could be longer if nothing is wrong
With the present surroundings. I do long to bask
In this state of pure pleasure now and forever.

Isolating on some sound will carry me there
Like that of the ocean or of the central air
Produced by the machinery in the basement.
Only absolute silence could try to prevent
My completing my exercise. It’s an affair
That I treat ceremoniously and with care.

As the mind wanders I refocus on the sound.
Many times it may happen, but that is just fine.
All I need do is come back to the here and now.
Once I feel some detachment I then can allow
Only thoughts that are pleasing and are truly mine.
I’m delighted that in this way much peace is found.
