Just Hook Up And Point At What You Want

Pointing Upward

The receiving mode never includes negative
Emotion. It is never the pushing against
Mode. It always feels enticing, satisfying,
And expansive. It doesn’t require my trying
Hard until the manifestation has commenced.
I’m ready for what the universe wants to give.

The receiving mode is my most natural state.
It’s appealing. It calls me. It’s fascinating,
Interesting, and clarifying. When I’m out
Of that state I’m consumed with confusion and doubt
And I don’t benefit from what I’m creating
By my asking how I can best cooperate.

I know that things are always working out for me.
I’m supposed to have power. The tantrums I throw
Indicate that within me something has gone wrong.
I can easily get back to where I belong
Which is happy. I’m here to do that and to grow
In the process. It’s everyone’s reason to be.

What do I want? Everything is open to me.
I can ponder the question and find fulfillment
In just doing that. In the mode of receiving
My chances of eventually achieving
Lasting happiness are best. By being content
I remain in touch with who I came here to be.

Looking Forward

Through Mirthful Eyes

Beneficial it is not to look at the past
Generally because it contains memories
That I don’t want intruding on my here and now.
Even though there are good ones somehow I allow
The bad ones to upset me. I cannot with ease
Sort them out. The ill feelings I don’t want to last.

It’s like when you go back home for a holiday.
You feel yourself reverting to how you felt when
You lived there in your childhood. You’re suddenly there
In the past. You become more consciously aware
Of the issues you had then. To go there again
Isn’t helpful because the present you betray.

You vibrate where you look. If you look at something
That’s unpleasant and stay there, then you’ll vibrate to
That very situation. More bad thoughts will come.
Pretty soon you will feel like you’re under the thumb
Of the devil. Yet you are the only one who
Can deliver your freedom from what’s happening.

Pull yourself back to the present. Looking Forward
From the present will anchor you. Vibrating there
By daydreaming for example puts you where you
Can do anything that you set your mind to do.
For the future is what you’re wanting to prepare.
Be more interested in what’s to be explored.

Love Thine Enemies

Revulsion

There was a young soldier in the German army
During World War Two. He was opposed to the war
Because he was a Christian. He knew it was wrong
What his country was doing, but he went along
Because he had no choice. He had zero rapport
With fellow soldiers. On nothing they could agree.

He was not enthusiastic. Officers knew
Of his sentiment. They made his life difficult.
“Who among us does not have bright and gleaming eyes?”
They would ask. “Here’s an old man whom we should despise.”
They’d find any opportunity to insult
This person, and there wasn’t a thing he could do.

On a cold winter evening, it was Christmas Eve.
He was standing guard duty alone as he heard
People singing Christmas songs which made him feel sad
Because his thoughts were with his loved ones. So he had
A deep sense of frustration. His heart was interred
In a hell whose grotesqueness was hard to believe.

The next morning a young woman called to him from
A window. She did not speak German, and he spoke
Not her language. She offered him something to eat
And some drink. Her country had fallen in defeat
To the Germans. What kind of love does this evoke?
From where does this kind of pure benevolence come?

They invaded her country. They were enemies,
But that didn’t much matter. On that Christmas day,
Both received something special. Christ said that we should
Love the ones who would hate us. It does the soul good.
What she did was most certainly the Christian way.
Is it worth it to see the way that Jesus sees?
