Win Life’s Battles?

The War Of Life

The Supreme Art Of War is a serious one
Among humans. With it we are preoccupied.
Our survival depends on the study of war
Otherwise there is nothing it can be good for.
Our behavior somehow gives us some sense of pride,
And in warfare there is only one solution.

Know thyself. Know thy enemy. Move not unless
There’s a healthy advantage. Amid the chaos
There is also opportunity to deceive.
When you’re strong you must make the enemy believe
That you’re weak, and if you can get that point across,
Then they are overcome with substantial success.

Don’t repeat the same tactics which have gained you one
Victory. Let your methods be regulated
By the infinite variety of chances
To improve on your most current circumstances.
Keep your mind and your keen senses activated.
When at war there’s no automatic solution.

Let your plans be as dark and impenetrable
As the night. Like a lightning flash move and attack.
One may know how to conquer but without being
Able to do it. Is there a way of freeing
Human nature from itself? The virtue we lack
Does little to keep the earth balanced and stable.

Only I Can Clog It!

No One Is Above Me

What is wrong with the plumbing? Everywhere I go
I must flush ten times just to get rid of my shit.
Not that morbid obesity could be the cause
Of the strange talent that I have for breaking laws.
I should not have to pay for the crimes I commit.
I’m a stable jenius I will have you all know.

I had to change the plumbing in all the bath rooms
Before me and my kind could live comfortably.
Anything once used by niggers must be thrown out
And replaced with the best things thus leaving no doubt
That the black stain is lifted almost completely.
I’m endowed with an organ that rightly assumes.

What happened to that bust of Lincoln is for me
To know only. I know that It’s worth a good price
And to the highest bidder it swiftly will go.
If it shows up in some country then I won’t know
Anything of its vanishing. I won’t think twice
Before lying about it. That’s how it must be.

Classified Documents are a feast fit for kings.
They go down somewhat easily. Executive
Privilege is my birthright until my demise.
What will happen to me is a word to the wise.
Other creatures just like me continue to live
Among trash roots and to take them under their wings.

Defeat

Temporary Loss

Don’t undo my undoing or my solitude
Nor aloofness. Dearer are you to me than one
Thousand triumphs and sweeter to my heart than all
The world glory I could have. Do knock down the wall
That protects my protection. Your work can I shun
If it shows me the falsity I have pursued?

Take away my self-knowledge and stark defiance.
Through you I know I’m yet young with swiftness of foot
Not to be trapped by withering laurels. In you
I have found my aloneness and joy overdue
For the scorn followed up with negative input.
If my pride attempts speaking, don’t give it a chance.

Take my sword and my shield. In your eyes I have read
That to be enthroned is to be in slavery,
And to be understood is to be leveled down.
I would be but a pauper if I wore a crown.
To be grasped is to reach but the fullness of me
Like a fruit to be eaten. What is there to dread?

Defeat my deathless courage, my bold companion.
You shall hear my song, silences, and feeble cries.
None but you will speak to me of beating of wings,
The urging of the seas, and such meaningful things.
With the storm we’ll both laugh, and what’s in us that dies
We’ll dig graves for them. Then we will stand in the sun.
