There Is Only Attraction

Opposites Ignored

When someone does something I believe isn’t right
It may feel like assertion. They did this to me.
Their action is deliberate. There is intent.
Would it be worth my while if I chose to resent
This person and respond in the highest degree
With some form of aggression? I’m not one to fight.

No such thing as assertion in this universe
Does exist because there is only attraction.
If something happens to me, I invited it
Through vibrational patterns I often transmit.
It is hard not to feel that some wrong has been done
But to cling tightly to it is truly a curse.

What this person is at best is a component
Who is fully cooperative with regard
To my subconscious conditioning through the years.
If I feel like a victim and have many fears
Then my vulnerability will make life hard.
Circumstances recurring will cause much lament.

My two points of attraction – the bad and the good –
Represent my emotional guidance system.
How I feel is an indicator of the way
I attract what I’m getting. So, I can obey
What the system is telling me. I can’t condemn
And rejoice at the same time. Indeed no one could.

Just Let Things Be?

Release Compulsivity

It was sung by The Beatles a long time ago.
Let It Be and an answer will be on its way.
We’ve no choice in the matter. We might as well be
In a place of acceptance. The world that we see
Causes us to want better that our asking may
Bring about proper changes albeit quite slow.

How do we make those changes if we don’t grab hold
Of the horns of the bull work? Is asking enough?
It’s such a democratic way of doing things
And the ways of republicans too often brings
Tyranny to the people. Our lives become tough.
Is it best to just ask and let nature unfold?

Focusing on what I want or letting things be
Is the choice made available. Both can be done
As long as I’m not in opposition to what
I would like to have happen. I’ll keep my mouth shut
About what the heck’s wrong with things and just have fun.
I can be quite effective by being carefree.

The universe is designed to stand on its head
In response to our asking. Demand we cannot
That the path of another creator be changed
To suit anyone’s wishes. Be thou not deranged
But indulge in the positiveness of your thought.
Each of us gets to choose either freedom or dread.

The Meaning Of Knowledge

Nurturing Wisdom

The true Meaning Of Knowledge, for thousands of years,
Has evolved with precision in every detail
Of rhetorical acts we perform every day.
It provides us a framework in all that we say.
Brief descriptions of certain terms at your avail
Form this informal treatise of logic frontiers.

There are Beliefs and Knowledge. They are not the same.
Belief is a Propositional Attitude.
True or false it can be, or completely unknown.

Assertions have Truth Value that stands on its own.
Propositions are Assertions, but they include
‘Substance’ for the Assertion that’s easy to name.

Propositional Attitude is mental state
Of the speaker or writer regarding what’s said.
One can be energetic yet quite deceptive.
So some judgement one takes if one is perceptive.
That’s why Justification is the binding thread
Of the fabric of Knowledge. Now don’t that sound great?

Justification is simply good evidence
To support one’s belief as submitted as proof
That the person has true knowledge. Testimony
Is a most common form of proof, definitely.
Those who speak without Knowledge are strange and aloof.
They love hearing themselves speak at others’ expense.

Justified True Belief is what Knowledge became
Until some dude from Germany sixty years back
Turned this definition upside down by proving,
Using off the wall logic, that true it can’t ring.
But we live in the real world where folks don’t know jack.
So the hell if it matters. It’s all just a game.
