Today is a special day as every day should be
Just because it is today and not the day before.
It would not be tomorrow now because today we’d miss,
And then we’re left to wonder how today’s not lived in bliss.
Today is not a lost post card stuck in some bottom drawer.
If that were so, then who would know to say hello to thee?

The days that pass before us now will never come again
The days ahead are distant stars whom now we can but peek
So celebrate the day before the day after today
‘Cause doing so will make your life improve in every way
The moment that is present is the only one to seek
And when time ceases forever, that’s when this good day will end!
