Soul To Soul

Face To Face

What’s the soul? It’s that part of you that existed
Before you were born and that will exist after
You have died. It’s the highest most noble part of
Yourself that you can reach for. It is of pure love.
The almighty is known as the master crafter
Of all souls and it is all done unassisted.

Unlike things in this earth school the soul has no weight
Or volume. These are characteristics of this
Dimension of time, space, matter, duality,
And amnesia. The nature of reality
Is something that the physical body will miss
Unless it can be in a meditative state.

All souls have the capacity to be great souls
And our job while we’re here on earth is to align
Our personalities with our souls. We do that
By intention. It’s worth taking a good look at
That part of ourselves which is in essence divine.
We can all make it one of our primary goals.

Many levels upon levels upon levels
Of compassion and wisdom beyond our knowing
Has the universe which is sacred and holy.
Reverence for life, loving, sharing, harmony,
And cooperation are all overflowing
In the one who in every circumstance revels.

Love One Another

Nurture The Union

It’s to Love One Another. The reason to be
In existence is none other than to become
Well acquainted with loving. For all humankind
To behave as if we’re all of one common mind…
It’s a concept that we mustn’t shy away from.
We’re commanded to do so by the almighty.

As we Love One Another, we make not a bond
Of love, rather we let it be a moving sea
Between the shores of our souls. We fill each other’s
Cup but drink not from one cup. As loving occurs,
Spaces in our togetherness do let there be.
Heaven’s winds dance within them into the beyond.

Giving one another of our bread, we eat not
From the same loaf. So joyously we sing and dance
Together but we let each other be alone
Like the strings of the lute. Each one is on its own
But to the same music each quivers. Not by chance
Does the sound produced make most people hot to trot.

Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping
For only the hand of life can contain your hearts
And stand together, yet not too near together
For the temple will not stand in heavy weather
With its pillars too close. It takes minuscule smarts
To know what kind of karma oneself is reaping.

Not Everyone Gets It, And It’s OK

Trickle Down Enlightenment

First of all, I don’t get it. Let’s be more than clear.
It’s a thing that a lot of folks can’t comprehend.
Like a sense, it has subtleties huge and complex.
It is rigid in outlook with all due respects
To the best that it knows with no need to pretend
It gets it absolutely while ignoring fear.

If I’m tone deaf it means I can’t hear melodies.
In the musical world they are called intervals.
I cannot hear relationships between the notes.
Currently there are no viable antidotes.
With that kind of condition I’m caught by the balls
In a circumstance that feels a lot like disease.

One can also be deaf philosophically.
One who is rigidly logical in their ways
Must expect things to happen according to plan.
There is too much incentive to do what one can
To avoid knowing oneself so consciousness stays
In a state of stagnation unfortunately.

I may know all the words but not so the music.
The relationship between the cause and effect
Is that they’re the same process composed of two parts.
When I master this aspect enlightenment starts.
There is nothing that is known by mere intellect,
And deciphering oneself is no easy trick.

Love One Another

Nurture The Union

Creatures breed because nature gives them expertise
In the ways of comingling of infinite form.
No one needs to remind them how sacred love is,
But some bone headed humans would fail at a quiz.
As the species who needs one amid an ice storm,
We would learn a good lesson from the birds and bees.

Yet, a world of advantage is at our avail.
As you love one another do not make a bond.
Let it move like the seas between shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup fully, as drinking consoles
With a taste in its curing. Like a magic wand,
Bless this world with your oneness and tell a love tale.

Drink though not from one cup, and don’t eat the same bread
But give one to another as sun gives daylight.
Sing and dance, and be joyous, but spend time alone.
Lute strings quiver together, yet each has its tone.
We dance to the same music. It seems only right
That symphonic its influence can be widespread.

Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping,
For the hand of God only can contain your hearts.
Stand together, yet not too near one another.
Temple pillars are spaced out, as one would prefer.
Neither oak tree nor cypress each shadow imparts
On the other, so that each may do their own thing.
