Life is not about being right. It’s more about
Being kind. If you’re given the choice to be right
Or to be kind choose kindness. It makes you feel good.
Being right doesn’t always work out as it should.
Life is not about getting yourself all uptight
Over things to the point where you simply freak out.

And life is not about proving anyone wrong.
It’s about proving yourself right. It’s not about
Competing against others. It’s more about you
Competing against yourself to bring yourself to
An improved self – one which others nor you can doubt.
It’s about growing and becoming ever strong.

Life’s about being happy – not being perfect.
It’s about making sure you’re experiencing,
Learning, loving, and developing who you are.
You know that being happy is better by far
Than the feeling that you don’t deserve a damned thing.
Life demands that you cultivate some self-respect.

Money’s great but only when used with positive
Intentions. It’s alright to want it but don’t stress
Over it. You can’t take it with you anyway.
Your upliftment of others will brighten each day
Of your life. You’re meant to live one of happiness.
You receive in accordance with how much you give.

Why Mindfulness Is A Superpower

When someone mistreats you, for example, lets say
Someone cuts you off in traffic, how do you take
The infraction? What would be your first reaction?
Are you caught in the grip of dissatisfaction?
Does the situation your connection forsake?
Does the incident mess with you throughout your day?

You respond due to habit. Immediately
You react to what’s happening. What happens next
Is a starburst of self-righteous thoughts and you feel
That it’s all about you and that you have to deal
With it all rather harshly. You may be perplexed
By how challenging your alignment seems to be.

There’s no buffer between the stimulus and your
Reaction, but with mindfulness you’d treat the same
Situation much differently. You would be
Able to just observe it. Emotionally
You are saved from dilemma and you can reclaim
Your connection with all that you’ve been living for.

Here’s one simple, serviceable definition
Of mindfulness. It’s the ability to know
What is happening in your head at any time
Without responding to it. A pleasure sublime
It is to respond wisely. You’re able to show
Yourself that mindfulness is the best solution.

Current Manifestation Is Past Tense

When someone you love passes on, you may feel sad
Or much worse for some time, but eventually
You accept the apparent loss and you move on.
As you go on believing your loved one is gone,
You may not entertain the possibility
That you can feel their presence. It’s not all that bad.

Everything is vibration. What you manifest
Or perceive in the physical is vibration
As well as things of spirit. Your inner being
Is a vibration that is always agreeing
With what’s best for you. Your world is your creation.
Don’t make it something that’s difficult to digest.

The more you hook up with your inner being the
More you will understand that it’s all vibration,
And the more you will look for things not where they were
But where they are now. Your ego need not concur
With the concept. Let that be an indication
Only of its agenda of needing to be.

When you look where you are now you’re acting in your
True vibrational being and not reacting
To what was, and when you react constantly to
What was, you recreate what was. What you can do
Is to be more aware of what you’re attracting.
Be thankful for what you have and you’ll receive more.
