Life Scape

In your life what have you always wanted to do?
Are you doing it now? Or are you on the way
To fulfilling your purpose? There’s nothing to fear
But fear itself. The path before you is made clear
In your heart and you cannot afford to betray
That which generates passion from deep within you.

You cannot live your life in your mind. You must go
Out and seek your life’s destiny. Fear of the past
Or the future is useless. The present is where
You should focus. It’s important for you to care
About now and it helps if you remain steadfast
In your quest. There is nothing else you need to know.

And it’s not trial and error. It’s simply getting
Off your ass to do something indeed anything
That moves you in the proper direction. It will
Help you more than if you decided to sit still
In your comfort zone. On it you don’t want to cling
Lest the loss of what you want you’d be regretting.

Often times people will start fulfilling their dreams
But when they near the end the journey becomes more
Difficult and they stop seeing the light at the
End of the tunnel as a sign of hope. They see
A milestone hard to overcome. What you ask for
You receive. It’s not just the way everything seems.

Spiritual Wisdom

To be super successful at age thirty five
Is the dream of most people. A state of romance
That is warm and fulfilling folks also strive for.
Human nature is programmed to always want more
Of the good life and all of the things that enhance
Our enjoyment of everything while we’re alive.

Yet sometimes people find themselves in a crisis
Because they have desires, but they lack competence.
The conditions we live by can get in the way
Of our loving completely. We often betray
Our contentment with life and commit the offense
Of believing in failure. The whole point we miss.

Life can feel like it’s passing by quite rapidly.
When you wake up one morning and feel unfulfilled
Because your plan for your life did not come to be,
The frustration is sickening to the degree
That the spirit may feel like it cannot be thrilled.
Conditions can cancel competence completely.

If you want unconditional love, then become
Like a dog. They are competent in every way
That is meaningful. They are excellent lovers.
When one rises above it all one discovers
That love is not an action nor something that may
Or may not be supportive of where love comes from.

Love is just who and how your are – not your ego.
When you rise above conditions for a brief while
You will see that your love is of a different
Nature than what your ego may care to present.
All the good, bad, and ugly one takes with a smile.
And throughout your life’s journey true love you will show.

Melting The Mortal Idea

Predetermined is the exact moment of death.
I can’t leave this earth one single moment before
Nor an instant beyond the time I’m allotted.
What is not set how that I will end up dead.
I must know my surrender is the open door
Through which ego is deprived of its dying breath.

That which I know as myself and separate from
All else that must exist must be nonexistent.
It is only then that knowingness can come through.
To give up my person is a hard thing to do.
I survive by the providence of blind consent
Of forces of divinity. I must succumb.

My persona is not the essence and the source
Of affirmative consciousness given as me.
Rather it’s a well-constructed survival tool.
It behaves well mostly, but it can act the fool –
Something my true self tolerates to some degree,
For it knows not of judgment or will to enforce.

Ego death is the only death that can occur
Since the true self is selfless in every respect.
When it dies, the ego’s agony is but brief.
What is left after grieving is profound relief
From the weight of existence – the need to protect
My assumed personality and saboteur.
