Never Be Angry

Furious

Like rats in a cage subjected to electric
Shock at erratic intervals, humanity
Is electrified constantly by negative
Emotion. It’s not the healthiest way to live.
If I’m angry what can anything offer me?
Being ornery all the time is no picnic.

When you’ve got a strong energy flowing through you
And something seems to be standing right in the way
Of your getting way past it you can’t help but be
Somewhat hateful but it robs you of energy.
In alignment with your Source is where you must stay.
You may find that getting there is easy to do.

Look at someone who you have extreme anger for
And tell them not directly but in the mind’s eye
That you haven’t decided yet how long you will
Allow them to prevent you from having the thrill
Of alignment and goodness. Then ask yourself why
You’ve allowed this vibration that you most deplore.

We all need to express anger but how long do
You hold onto it? How long do you want to stay
Cut off from clarity, abundance, and wellness?
You can answer these without your having to guess.
You can focus negative emotion away
By remembering what brings happiness to you.

Dharma

The Wheel Of Life

It’s an Eastern term that has no direct single
Word translation. It’s a complex set of meaning
And interpretation. To the extent that it
Can be defined, some human behaviors will fit
The description of dharma. It is a cleaning
Of the space where dirty vibrations comingle.

It’s the essential nature of reality
And the teachings and practices that enable
Realization of that essential nature.
Dharma is at the heart of the legislature
That orders the whole universe. It’s a label,
Nonetheless, it’s helpful to a conscious degree.

There’s a right and a true way for each person to
Act in order to best serve themself and others.
Dharma is closely associated with the
Noble concepts of selfless service and duty.
It’s the right way of living and often refers
To the path that is for one the truest of true.

Following your dharma means that you’re pursuing
The calling that is truest for you. Anything
That upholds or sustains the positive order
Is of dharma. The life that one would most prefer
Is one that is spiritually fulfilling.
It’s the one source of abundance and wellbeing.

Behavior

Communication Of Ideas

Behavior is the actions and mannerisms
Of the individual in conjunction with
Themselves and others within their environment.
Behavior is the product of conscious intent.
That it cannot be changed is a popular myth
Among people susceptible to social whims.

It includes a person’s conduct, nature, presence,
Attitude and demeanor. They all are shaped by
Psychological traits. The personality
Type varies from person to person. There can be
Manifold motivations. The main reason why
One behaves is a matter of psychic suspense.

Behavior is acceptable depending on
Social norms. Regulated by social control,
Human behavior is studied by the social
Sciences. Their insights are in fact precocial
Birds of wisdom that fly deeply into the soul
Of the psyche from where information is drawn.

The ego mind is a learned and programmed set of
Behaviors. The ultimate spiritual goal
Is to transcend the conditioning by virtue
Of the power within the self that is most true.
Higher levels of consciousness can make one whole.
All of existence is integrated with love.

Knowing Truth

Becoming Informed

Harsh judgement for harsh acts performed as I am ill
Keeps the gate locked on unpardoned parts of my soul.
The prison I’ve created I deem adequate
Yet the enemies of me have cause to debate
That no gnashing sufficient is worth my parole.
That I’ve been such an asshole does my spirit kill.

My remorse is reality as is my joy
That the pain is made bearable in my belief
That I need to be punished more than I am now.
Is my healthy survival in trouble somehow?
From my own misconceptions I need some relief
Otherwise I’ll continue to hurt and annoy.

The world is just a word. It is I who exist
And I am capable of experiencing
Absolute truth, but I shall never attain it.
I am guilty of all the sins that I commit.
There is no way of reconciling this damned thing
Yet I must learn to deal with the thoughts that persist.

In the mind there’s a prism that translates pure light
Into many distortions. My illness only
Sees the trees – not the forest. I glean redemption
Through clearing of my faculties. As this is done
It eventually helps me to better see
Somewhere in all the darkness a future that’s bright.
