Humility

Expression Of Faith

True humility is a nonjudgmental state
Free from pride, arrogance, vanity, and the need
To be right. Dictionaries define it as low
Self-regard and unworthiness, yet one should know
That form self-deprecation a person is freed
By humility. It’s a most virtuous trait.

Recognition of the limits of the ego
Thinking mind and its inability to know
And to truly experience reality
Will lead one to a genuine humility.
It’s needed in order for the spirit to grow
In the light of acceptance and of letting go.

Through humility and the ever-present choice
Of peace out of love, one can relinquish even
The most cherished of negatives such as hatred,
Spitefulness, and revenge, and replace them instead
With the peace of compassion. One can enter then
A place where one is hearing their own still small voice.

It’s one of the foundations of devotional
Spiritual life. It’s of open mindedness
To the current opportunity to advance
And to know that we all share the same circumstance.
One’s humility is spiritual progress.
One can find it to be something that’s natural.

Awaiting The Comforting Storm

Anticipation Of Emphatic Flow

Would I know it was Sunday without a device
Of some kind to inform me of reality?
At some point it should matter not that time exists
Or does not, as is in the minds of the sophists.
The air, pregnant with magical moisture, to me,
Is awfully enchanting which is really nice.

Go ahead, then! Be with child, blessed atmosphere!
You and I both deserve it. Our hearts become one
Beating entity. Growing anticipation
Of the torrents oncoming define what is fun.
To behold in protection the cleansing begun,
In a state of comfort I am as it draws near.

Water falling to the earth is such a big deal.
I can’t get enough of it. If in a dry place
Then my mood will be stricken with consciousness drought.
Something about the wetness I can’t live without.
Super liquid dark matter, consume and embrace
All that needs readjustment and more time to heal.

At once, I am my higher self and the one here
With a flesh and blood vessel and a unique take
On all that I experience. I love the rain.
It’s movement almost guarantees release of pain.
I believe that my being deserves such a break
From the desiccant nature of my worldly fear.

What To Do While In Spirit…

Eternitity of Beingness

Not near death nor near living, for what do I wait?
…No sense of being conscious of self nor no one
Since the mere act of being is made of its own
Only substance of time flow ever to be known
As the thought come before next becomes the end run
Of this life come to be passed much due to dead weight?

This thought form of a body exists very real.
As an everyday model old, fine does it run.
Remembers it insanely well how to behave,
Or how to send its master to its early grave.
Incomplete thought entrapment can never be done.
Absolute nonexistence has no thought appeal.

From the viewpoint exalted far out and away
All of life is presented. Complain does the thought
Not of style nor of format nor technique surreal,
But for just being yanked from the world with such zeal.
Interruption? To think that, who then can’t be caught
In the fool’s web of arrogance for The Long Day?

Practicing hospice routine partakes pleasure’s peace.
Transition through reviewing as all it takes place
Has never been attended by one with a name
That has stuck damned fast to it butt gut wrenching shame.
My allowance here shows me the self I must face
For another while longer undoing my fleece.
