What Not To Share

Keep It Secret

If you could be an open book to everyone,
That would not necessarily be a good thing.
Not all information about you should be shared.
You may be haunted by things that you have declared
In thinking that others find you interesting.
You may not be aware of all the damage done.

Avoid negative people. They have a problem
For every solution. They’re a social disease.
The value of achievement lies in achieving.
Don’t let other people keep you from believing
In yourself. Do not be so damned willing to please.
If they become your problem, then get rid of them.

What goes on inside your wallet is nobody’s
Business, nor are your issues of relationship.
Share your goals only with the people you can trust
Because your motivation will crumble to dust.
Don’t tell others your weaknesses. Who give a rip?
It is worth just as much as a piss in the breeze.

Love brings much happiness – so much more than paining
For anther reduces pain, so don’t ignore
Situations of others. Be compassionate
And mindful of the vibration you radiate.
Share your dreams with your world, but do not tell them more
Than they need to know. Do not be entertaining.

Who Possesses One’s Back?

Trust In The State Of Affairs

We rely much on others for so many things.
Human interdependence on one another
Is the backbone society bares to possess.
Yet with trillions of bones to pick, people obsess
Over what makes the buck stop, then want to defer
All its value to nothingness and what it brings.

When someone has departed this physical plane
Of existence – one who was the main bread winner,
Those surviving may suffer a multiple loss.
With no income replacement they must bear the cross
Of maintaining their way of life. Debt may incur.
Money problems are what drive most people insane.

But, the dead are not missing, although they are missed
Through believing that communication has ceased.
They reach out to us frequently after they’re ‘gone.’
Some can hear what they tell them and rely upon

A much wider perspective where trust is increased
In the infinite process in which all exist.

Only when in alignment can spirit be heard.
To be in the receptive mode is important
If one seeks independence from all ownership
Of one’s back, and it helps to get a firmer grip
On the true self within who alone can supplant
Providence of the worldly and its fickle word.

Children

Humanity's Treasured Assets

Your children are not your children, this you should know.
Sons and daughters of life’s longing for itself, they
Come through you but not from you. Although they’re with you
They belong not to you. And for all that you do,
You may give them your love, but your thoughts, keep away
For their thoughts are their own as they wholesomely grow.

You may house their young bodies but never their souls.
For theirs dwell in the house of tomorrow which can’t
Be visited by you, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, as their brightness beams.
But do not make them like you nor try to implant
Your beliefs into them. It’s the worst of all goals.

Life goes forward – not backward, and it tarries not
With the things that were yesterday’s. You are the bows
From which your children as living arrows are shot.
The Archer sees the path and will nurture its plot.
With the bow’s might, swift and far will go the arrows.
Through nature’s evolution the wise soul is taught.

Let you bending in the Archer’s hand be gladness
For the ongoing process of love’s expression.
Even as the Archer loves the arrow that flies
He loves also the bow who can well recognize
How to keep itself stable. Your work will be done
In complete loving guidance and pure truthfulness.

What Are Others Thinking Of Me?

A World of Delightful, Imaginative Wonder

Though it matters not at all still I may wonder
What it is people think of me. So, I’m human
And affected by super moons and cosmic waves
And by all the insane things that my body craves.
I’m ok with a friendship and don’t need a plan
To affect my appearance so life can occur.

Temperance is the patience and moderation
Necessary for maintaining healthy balance
About wanting and needing others in our lives.
In complex social structures, the fittest survives.
The death of an old cycle leads to the next chance
To become more acquainted with laughter and fun.

Offerings may come to me. I have a strong sense
That this life is my oyster and I am its pearl.
What comes in then goes outward for all to behold.
Dreams and wishes of popularity unfold
As I watch ever consciously my path unfurl.
I’m at peace with my loving which is quite intense.

People get rather phony with social profiles
That are perfectly polished as if of the gods.
No one’s life is fantastic nor is it the pits.
With a little help from my friends and my keen wits,
I become others’ best thoughts though they are facades
That are yet therapeutic because they bring smiles.

Memories Cherished

Indelible Impressions

Many kindhearted people, some angels by now,
And with uncommon patience, have made who I am.
What is wrong about me is my own tangled mess
Aggravated by madness. I am, more or less,
Created in the image of those who I damn
With my inverse reflection, full well knowing how.

Beating up on myself I’ve made into an art –
Just as those who cared for me and those who I played
An unworthy role model… ruthless and profane.
I took every advantage and caused awful pain.
With my bed made, I’m sleepless and cannot evade
The grotesque beast that I’ve been with sickness of heart.

Planted deep in my conscious soil germinates seed
From the heart of the righteous. Love once within reach
Now is longing disabled. Survival logic
Is a piss poor facsimile and a cheap trick.
This I’m fully aware of. Lessons others teach.
Acting out as the student, I had failed to lead.

Not at all melancholy, pleasure now I take
In the clearness of knowing what my makers knew
Since before I had met them. The thoughts I embrace
Generated by feelings of knowing their grace
Satisfy but the least that my writing can do
To give some indication that I’ve come awake.

In Memory Of James

Maker of Cherished Moments

Your actions and ideas influenced loved ones
Most profoundly. An inspiration to them all,
You were thoughtful, hard-working, and fervently kind.
A responsible husband and father resigned
To the love of your family, no time was small
In the warmth of their company. They loved you tons.

Working double and triple shifts to make ends meet,
You did so without showing real signs of fatigue,
Yet always greeting your daughter with your great smile.
Your dream of restaurant ownership was worthwhile.
Difficult circumstances put you in a league
Of unfulfilled achievers e’er doomed to defeat.

World War One and the enemy would intervene
In your life that was happy with what you needed
Which were gifts of the spirit and simple pleasures
That were of most importance. Your message endures,
And the ones who survive you continue ahead
As you had prepared them so the dream may be seen.

In your service to others you knew not restraint.
Giving all that you had was indeed part of you.
Gallantry is rewarded for service combat
And honor to the family indicates that
Your true heart of gold still beats for everyone who,
Holding love in their hearts, consider you a saint.

Love And Affection

True Bliss of the Heart

Dreams of Love And Affection for some are most real
All the time and forever through life unending.
Seeming like such a fairytale how can it be
Since it’s so incongruent with reality?
My confessions of ignorance are a wellspring
Of a fool’s tears of hindsight I cannot conceal.

Having known what warmth feels like, in total recall,
Strong connection to spirit is all that remains
Of what was made available right from the start
That I lost through obsession and under-sized heart.
Taught am I of the wonder that this world contains
That surpasses all else. In fact, evil is small.

Children are of our making. In them we take pride
And through them more responsible we must become.
Laboring is the loving through family ties
Integrated with others. Loved ones recognize
That the moments we cherish make life more wholesome.
Nurturing tender feelings makes one warm inside.

In the home good relations with others begins.
Family is the center of the universe.
Galaxies people form across all the expanse.
Those of you who have family are our best chance
As one race of evolving beyond the perverse
And be absolved of our most original sins.

Sensory Maintenance

Fresh Emotional Shift

Personal and subjective concerns override
Everything else. It need not be too difficult
To arrange time together with those of our kin.
Our most sensitive feelings grow from deep within
And exude positive energy. The result
Is a smooth running engine of love amplified.

Systems such as relationships can use a tweak
Frequency of the tuning is never too high.
But to share an adventure is for the old soul
A delightfully bright day. It keeps the heart whole.
For the young one curiosity is the sky.
Bonds remain ever solid. They never grow weak.

Investigative research can be done, one sees,
On what makes a good friendship endure through the years
By those who do behavioral science the best.
Those would be all the doctors. Their views are professed
To define what is normal and that which best clears
Any integral structure of psychic disease.

What all can be accomplished will more than suffice
When it comes to fulfillment in time spent with care
For the ones we most cherish. Much more may be said
But if I keep it up, at some point I’ll drop dead
Since it’s way past my bedtime. So just to be fair
I will end this one here, and I shall not think twice.

A Feeling Reset

Freshness of Positive Emotion

When we take time to nurture, our hearts are fulfilled
In a way that resets daily tension to nil.
Women do this most naturally, but it’s true
That when men become fathers they will do it too.
Giving love is a heart based emotional skill
Stronger ties with one’s spirit this pleasure will build.

We connect daily habits and rigid routine
With the blessings life offers. Our best hopes and dreams
Do reflect in the present. The spirit is free
To enjoy what today brings. The most we can be
In the moment of knowing can turn into streams
Of much love and affection never before seen.

A strong sense of belonging to what has been made
Viable and familiar comforts the soul
Of oneself and all others. Our spirits are high
On the process of caring with each heartfelt try.
There’s no fuss about reaching an ultimate goal
When, in truth, among loved ones, our hearts are conveyed.

Attitudes and reflections on what we hold dear
Are the optimum sustenance. Nothing comes close
To a healthy perspective in matters of heart.
Whether we are together or somewhat apart,
What ensures happiness is a generous dose
Of the love we’re withholding perhaps out of fear.

Tending The Harvest

Mental Work of the Field

While at rest at the haystack the peace I behold
In myself and my hard work is what I live for.
Careful planning in detail determines success.
Sharpening of the intellect tempers the stress
As I’m Tending The Harvest. I ask not for more
Than I rightfully need. I am not bought or sold.

And indeed there are helpers. We all get along.
I respect how they treat me, and I respect all.
In the practice of teamwork we all organize
And the fruits of all labor we all recognize
As a blessing bestowed upon we who are small.
Therein such an agreement the business is strong.

Health and safety are prominent in what we plan.
As a part of the process we handle with care
Every thought and emotion among all the team.
Human nature is priceless – not as it may seem
To those considered ‘resources.’ We are aware
Of the essence within all to be who we can.

As we’re Tending The Harvest we take sheer delight
In the light of community as work is done
And as one of the family each is assured
That a loving relationship can be matured.
I will hear what I need from every single one.
We expect that The Harvest will be quite alright.

Rekindling The Hearth

Domestic Changes

Who can speak of The Family…one who has one?
…Or the one who, by his choice, has made himself null?
In the void of departure I see from afar
Much more clearly behavior of mine that did scar
Certain persons. I have in my twilight to mull
What importance The Hearth is. The work is not done.

Excavating the surface I get to the core
Of what makes me psychotic and hurtful to those
I should most love and cherish. There is something there
Which I recognize vividly as deep despair.
It’s not easy to pinpoint as my effort shows.
Where have I been my whole life? This I can’t ignore.

Warmth, light, food, and protection The Hearth represents.
Mother is the receptacle – Father, the heat.
Light illuminates intellect. Good it discerns
From the darkness of evil. What my spirit learns
Is that I’ve been a weak Sun assigned to defeat
Rather than let the darkness deplete my defense.

Dark is also the comfort of death and the womb.
Complementing the chaos gestation takes place.
Birthing of the new spirit redeems not the soul
Without full compensation. I have no control
Over how that will happen. What karma I face
Hopefully will be done before reaching the tomb.

May I then come full circle in symbolic sense.
Meaning total perfection and wholeness, the wheel
Has its sage at the motionless center of peace.
Living is the circumference that I release
To the infinite void. And it’s not an ordeal.
To all who will not hear, my remorse is immense.

No Place Like Home

Warmth of the Hearth

Simple practical playtime often through the day
Brings about a new freshness and warmth to the heart.
Answers to human problems are perfectly clear
When the spirit is filled with the ones who are dear.
Sharing love among family is a fine art.
From the hearth of acceptance one seldom will stray.

Understanding compassion is learning it from
Those who are closest to us. Their teaching is kind.
We preserve precious moments not due to our pride
But because we are moved with true love as our guide.
There is No Place Like Home where our roots intertwined
Give the earth of the homelife strength to overcome.

Personal transformation occurs in the home
That is helpful and healthy. When problems arise
They’re met with understanding. The fear that we know
Comes from outside the homestead. No harm can it show.
It is best then to nurture familial ties
Than to be in a dark space where spirit can’t roam.
