Levels Of Consciousness

Colorful Thinking

Different levels of consciousness signify
Distinct programs within the mind. One’s behavior,
Beliefs, thoughts, attitudes, opinions, and world view
Manifest in the mind in relationship to
How conscious or unconscious one is. It’s for sure
That there are many levels. Need we wonder why?

Unconscious means delusional and ignorant
Of the truth of one’s being. Inequalities
And injustices occupy the ego mind,
Yet this is the awareness of all humankind.
How do we deal with our spiritual disease?
To reach the higher levels is damned important!

Each person who is born into this world starts at
A certain level of consciousness determined
By one’s entire karmic inheritance and the
Subjective experience of life. One can be
In a state of mind where one is never chagrined.
What could be more consciousness expanding than that?

Higher levels and the paths to reach them have been
Taught by spiritual masters for centuries.
The spiritual spectrum, as it’s understood,
Is from pure hell to perpetual Buddhahood.
In-between is only a matter of degrees.
So, our purpose here is to fully awaken.

Personality

Expression Of Diversity

A complex combination of qualities and
Characteristics is called personality.
It forms an individual’s own character.
It’s unique, and people treat it as if it were
The true self. It’s presented to society
As a person of which one has total command.

This aspect of the ego is influenced and
Developed in direct relation to patterns
Integrated in childhood. They are reinforced
And become habit until they’re fully endorsed
By the ego. Truth is the least of its concerns.
It’s too simple for it to fully understand.

It’s an intricate system of learned responses.
Whether one is agreeable, honest, and kind,
Or angry and resentful depends on many
Factors including karma, but definitely
One’s prevailing level of consciousness and mind.
Its behavior is subject to consequences.

Spiritual work and understanding leads to
The realization that one is not the thing
That’s called mind and that thinks things. One is the pristine
Awareness beyond mind. Everything can be seen
To be nameless and simply a conscious being.
Be open to discovering the one most true.

Thinking

Semi Deep Thought

Thinking is the process of using one’s mind to
Consider or to reason regarding something.
It’s an autonomous function of the ego,
And it thinks thoughts of happiness or of sorrow
According to beliefs and social programming.
The mind is dualistic in its point of view.

The mind processes its concepts with the notion
Of a subject an object. Thoughts are constructive
When they’re focused and conscious, but usually,
The mind is bombarded pretty much endlessly
With extraneous content. In order to live
With some balance requires specific devotion.

The ego mind loves to judge, consider, presume,
Regard, ponder, and ruminate. The delusion
Of the thinking process stems from one’s believing
That one is one’s ego, but this is deceiving
The true self and can lead to utter confusion.
Thoughts can be of enlightenment or utter doom.

Thinking is seen as the main tool of survival.
Thoughts are seen as precious, personal, and unique.
Realize that the ego mind is in denial
That there are other tools that are much more worthwhile.
Change your mind to the focus of that which you seek,
Which is to celebrate a true self revival.
