The Truth

The Reality Of The Human Condition

If we turn things upside down can we expect good
To win out in the world? What future lies ahead
If altruism can’t replace egotism?
Can we experience joy if there’s a schism
Between self and the spirit? And are we misled
By the powers we have that are not understood?

For children to be safe and healthy there must be
Loving care among everyone. Can this happen
In the coming years? Compassion breeds weakness when
Only the strong survive in a world ruled by men.
If the cycle were broken what would happen then?
As a race we remain primitive and beastly.

Corruption and hypocrisy are our nature.
We don’t deserve the worst of luck, it would so seem
And the best would give Satan a burning halo.
Circumstances are that we have much room to grow.
It’s an honor to master the art of the scheme
To take advantage of people who are unsure.

Is it worthwhile to believe in some deity
Who believes just the opposite of what’s said here?
Our survival as a race depends on something
Quick and catastrophic for our awakening.
But do we have to go through something quite severe?
I believe in a miracle, personally.

Work With Raven

A Connection To Spirit

The collective unconscious – the mind’s reservoir
Of creative impulses – connects one with all
That is possible for us to experience.
Consciousness as interpreted has to make sense
To the psyche. The images that we recall
Tell an intimate story of why we explore.

Spirit guides, we all have them to help us along
The path we have made ready through our intention.
From the animal kingdom some spirit guides are
And in terms of mythology it’s not bizarre
That belief in the story strengthens retention.
Within context there is nothing that can go wrong.

If the Raven is your animal spirit guide
You’ve the bearer of magic and the messenger
From the great void from where all things originate
By your side. You’ve the ability to create
Positive opportunities as if you were
With the forces of nature totally allied.

For some, reading this is quite the pain in the ass
But bear with me a while more and hear the heartbeat
Of the rhythm intended. Let it all sink in.
I do not seem to care if patience is worn thin.
I care much about making this last verse complete
Now that I have gone way past the critical mass.

Clear Bad Karma

Spiritual Shortcut

The word Karma means action. Whose? That would be mine.
The most dynamic way to exist as beings,
Karma I live through is responsibility
That I have for my own life, and naturally,
It extends as far outward among offerings
As my strongest vibration. With this I am fine.

My life is my own making. That’s what the word means.
My successes and failures are all but my own.
Anytime I can see this in full clarity
Is a time for the crafting of my destiny.
Actions past for which my unclean soul must atone
I can safely call fated as important scenes.

Since my life is my karma no one else takes charge.
The word ‘blame’ has no meaning and is a poor game.
Those who think that their lives are caused from the outside
Have it fairy assed backwards. Were I they, I’d hide
For the lame act that they perform only brings shame
They’re likely to encounter while roaming at large.

My thoughts and my emotions, actions, and focus
Are then orientated to get me where I
Need to go in the business of daily living.
Life is lived from the inside, and in its giving,
I embrace all the drama and not wonder why
I have less time for negative things to discuss.

Character Is Destiny

The Drama of Symbology

It’s a simple equation yet complex in ways
That can cause misconception and conjured up fears.
‘Character Equals Destiny’ sounds about right.
But, pray tell, what is Character? Shine me some light.
I’ve been lost in this forest for too many years.
As I watch them sneak by, they seem much more like days.

I do know well what destiny is, I do think.
It pertains to the future and how things work out.
If I live well, then good fortune may come my way.
If I don’t, then I won’t be immune to dismay.
To determine what ‘well’ means may free up some doubt
That would otherwise fulfill its job to hoodwink.

I should know what will happen if myself I know
As the sole story teller. To disarm all fear,
Am I known to be truthful in word and in deed?
People care about safety. Therein lies the need
For a code of behavior to which I adhere.
To thine own self be honest, then God’s grace will flow.
